Een prachtige documentaire over Social Engineering en de belangrijkste denkers in dat veld van de afgelopen twee eeuwen. Er wordt via mensen als Gustave le Bon met zijn werk:  The Crowd – A Study of the Popular Mind, en Edward Bernays met zijn boek: Propaganda ingegaan op de werking van het gedrag van mensen zowel als individu als vanuit hoe ze reageren in groepen.

De social engineering technieken die in de video voorbij komen worden al ruim een eeuw op het gewone publiek zoals u en ik toegepast vanuit o.a. grote bedrijven en overheden zonder dat wij als publiek daarvan op de hoogte zijn. Met de kennis in deze video kun je de technieken leren herkennen en kun je in ieder geval jezelf een beetje wapenen tegen het psychologische geweld wat er over ons wordt uitgestort vanuit deze hoeken.

Een must see voor eenieder die er inmiddels wel een beetje klaar mee is als pion te worden gebruikt door The Powers that Be in hun vaak sociopatische spelletjes om hun machtspostie verder uit te breiden waarbij, bankschulden, moord en oorlog populaire instrumenten van deze machthebbers lijken.

John Taylor Gatto – De waarheid over ons onderwijssysteem

Met een waardering van 9.3 uit 10 op IMDB is dit een buitengewoon interessante serie waarin John Taylor Gatto ingaat op het hoe en waarom van ons huidige onderwijssysteem. Gatto is een man die 30 jaar zelf in het onderwijs actief is geweest en daarbij een prachtspreker is. Deze bijna 6 uur materiaal van hem zal eenieders denken op ons huidige verplichte onderwijssysteem voorgoed veranderen. Wellicht is het handig als mensen dit ook even doorsturen naar docenten in hun omgeving en naar het ministerie van onderwijs in Nederland.

Overigens geeft hij zelf aan hoe hij tot beste docent van het jaar in New York werd uitgeroepen. Hij geeft aan dat je kinderen hun inherente interesses serieus moet nemen en ze daarin moet ondersteunen en ze in staat moet stellen vooruitgang te maken op dat gebied. Moeilijker is het niet volgens Gatto en hij heeft hier buitengewoon grote successen mee geboekt.

Voor eenieder die zelf naar school is gegaan en of kinderen heeft die naar school gaan is dit een must see. En ik denk dat dit verhaal aanleiding geeft om in Nederland ook het gehele onderwijssysteem volledig op de schop te gooien. Kortom een echte aanrader.

Ik moet zeggen dat ik na zelf het hele schoolsysteem te hebben doorwandelt en nu dit en ook eerdere verhalen hierover hoor, ik me redelijk geestelijk mishandelt voel door de Nederlandse overheid en ons verplichte onderwijs systeem.

Ik ben benieuwd hoe andere mensen hier tegenaan kijken en in welke hoeken er oplossingen gezocht kunnen worden. In hoeverre willen we onze kinderen en kleinkinderen nog blootstellen aan dit systeem met deze kennis van Gatto in het achterhoofd?

Een interessante documentaire over de psychologie van controle. Het in toom houden van grote groepen mensen en het beïnvloeden van de grote massa (die hier overigens vaak niet van op de hoogte zijn) wordt ook wel Social Engineering genoemd.

Social engineering is a discipline in social science that refers to efforts to influence popular attitudes and social behaviors on a large scale, whether by governments or private groups. A social engineer is one who tries to influence popular attitudes, social behaviors, and resource management on a large scale.

Social engineering is al zo oud als de mensheid zelf en in deze documentaire komen social engineers van alle tijden aan bod, van Niccolo Machiavelli die in de 14de eeuw reeds de rijke bankiers de Medici van Italië adviseerde hoe ze hun eigen positie zo goed mogelijk konden beschermen en uitbouwen, tot aan psychologen als Burrhus Skinner en tot aan mensen als Edward Barneys die de marketing in ons tijdperk revolutionair veranderde door op de onbewuste behoeftes van mensen in te spelen in plaats van op de rationele delen van het menselijk verstand.

Kortom een echte aanrader voor eenieder die geïnteresseerd is in wat voor mechanismen en technologieën er tegenwoordig op de gewone man worden losgelaten door de hedendaagse sociale ingenieurs, en natuurlijk ook voor diegenen die zelf ambities hebben als ware volksmenners. :-

Noot van de redactie: Alex Jones, een van de voornaamste actors in deze docu, neemt het niet altijd even nauw met de waarheid. Hij is verbannen van big tech platforms als Youtube, wat op zich een aanbeveling is, maar veel van zijn theorieën zijn onsamenhangend en in strijd met empirisch bewijs. Niettemin komen in deze docu nuttige denkbeelden aan de orde, ook van denkers die wél serieus te nemen zijn. Zoals de mogelijkheden voor massamanipulatie.
